Solar power for Indian Orphanage |

Solarsense, the solar power installers from Bristol have just finished fitting solar photo voltaic cells to the Bishop Bexell orphanage in India. St Philips has supported the orphanage since 2007.
The panels will generate almost all of the Orphanage power needs.

Alan Bain returned from Uganda in March where he visited with Mission Director Daniel Hejzlar from the Czech Republic's, 160 Sbor Cirkve Bratrske churches. With him were a team from the Czech Republic. While there they met up with Victoria and visited HIV and AIDS prog-rammes in the country. For the blog of the visit see here

Honour for St Philips' Minibus Scheme |

St Philip's Community Minibus has been nominated for the City of Bath Chairman's Business Award for 2009/10. The nomination is 'recognition of your business' contribution to community life.' The Mayor of Bath, announces the winner on 24th March at a Guildhall reception. Well done Sandra Bain & David Hancock.

Our Doctor Who 2 Holiday Club ran from Wednesday-Friday 17-19 February with a service on Sunday 21 February at 10.30am.

Alan Broadcasts on BBC for World AIDS Day |

Christian HIV/AIDS Alliance (CHAA) Vice Chair, and Vicar of St Philip's, Rev Alan Bain, broadcast on eight BBC Radio stations to mark World AIDS day 2009, speaking of the work of CHAA member ACET UK and the need to be vigilent because of the 8% rise in UK infections.
